I work figuratively to visualize Indian life. Yet one can trace elements of abstraction in my work. Mundane struggles of common people constitute my subjects, executed through sketches and layouts done spontaneously in the studio. I choose from my observations of daily life, once are channeled through my feelings and experience. Facial expressions and movements in my personal pictorial landscape are not direct emulation of nature; spatial relationships, proportions are simplified down to their essence, executed with a limited color palette.
